At Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025, Envalior, a global leader in high-performance materials, showcased its commitment to redefining mobility with eco-friendly solutions. We unveiled groundbreaking products and sustainability strategies, solidifying our leadership in shaping the future of electric vehicles (EVs) and sustainable transportation.
The automotive industry is undergoing a transformation as sustainability and innovation take center stage. This shift toward sustainability has amplified the demand for innovative materials that balance performance and environmental consciousness. Our solutions aim to bridge this gap by tackling some of the most pressing challenges in the mobility sector. From reducing greenhouse gas emissions to improving safety standards and enabling EV adoption, we showcased how engineering innovation can meet—and exceed—these goals.
1. Battery box for EVs: At our booth we showcased the next-generation battery box, engineered to optimize both efficiency and safety. By integrating lightweight, thermally resistant materials, this solution directly addresses the critical need for safer energy storage systems in EVs, improving battery performance while reducing overall vehicle weight.
2. Hydrogen fuel tank: We revealed our hybrid hydrogen fuel tank, designed to promote the adoption of hydrogen as a cleaner alternative to traditional fuels. The lightweight yet durable tank meets stringent safety requirements while advancing the feasibility of hydrogen-powered vehicles.
3. Bio-based and recyclable plastics: In a bid to reduce reliance on fossil fuels, we showcased non-fossil-based plastics derived from bio-based and recycled materials. These plastics offer automotive manufacturers a sustainable alternative without compromising on durability or performance. Each of these innovations emphasizes our dedication to addressing the challenges of decarbonization and resource efficiency—key objectives for the global automotive industry.
We are driving the transition to sustainable electric mobility by focusing on the following strategies and initiatives:
1. Aligning with evolving market needs: India, as one of the fastest-growing automotive markets in the world, presents unique opportunities and challenges. The rapid adoption of electric two-wheelers, driven by affordability and minimal infrastructure requirements, is reshaping the mobility landscape. Envalior’s leadership emphasized how the company is leveraging its global expertise to support India’s transition to cleaner, more efficient transportation systems.
2. Localized innovation: Nileshkumar Kukalyekar, Envalior’s Business Director for South Asia, Middle East, and Africa, highlighted the importance of tailoring global innovations to local contexts. India’s infrastructure and climate pose distinct challenges for EV adoption, such as the need for improved thermal management in battery systems and lightweighting for longer range. We are addressing these issues by developing solutions that cater specifically to Indian consumers' needs while maintaining international standards.
3. A commitment to sustainability that extends beyond products: Our sustainability ambitions are not limited to its product portfolio. We are aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and have set ambitious targets to become a leader in low-carbon manufacturing.
4. Renewable energy and emissions reduction: By committing to 100% renewable electricity by 2030, we aim to significantly reduce our operational carbon footprint. We are also investing heavily in advanced recycling technologies to enable circularity in automotive plastics, offering manufacturers sustainable material options that minimize environmental impact.
5. The future of electric mobility: As electric mobility gains momentum worldwide, the role of advanced materials becomes increasingly pivotal. Lightweighting, safety, and thermal management are key priorities for automakers, and we are addressing these needs. By replacing traditional metal components with high-performance thermoplastics like Stanyl® and Arnite®, we enable automakers to design vehicles that are not only lighter and more energy-efficient, but also safer.

8. EV safety and performance: The lightweight materials showcased at our booth allow EVs to achieve greater range without increasing battery size—a critical factor in the cost-sensitive Indian market. Additionally, our solutions enhance crashworthiness, ensuring that safety is not compromised in the quest for sustainability.
9. Accelerating the shift to hydrogen: While electric EVs dominate the sustainability narrative, hydrogen-powered vehicles are emerging as a complementary solution, particularly for long-haul transportation. Our advancements in hydrogen fuel tanks are a testament to the company’s foresight and its role in diversifying the sustainable mobility ecosystem.
10. Broader vision for social and environmental impact: Beyond technological innovation, Envalior is deeply committed to contributing to the communities in which it operates. For over a decade, the company has been actively involved in corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiatives in India, focusing on education, renewable energy, and social upliftment.
11. Empowering communities: Through its CSR programs, we have partnered with industrial training institutes to bridge resource gaps and empower future engineers. We have also installed solar energy systems in underprivileged schools, ensuring access to sustainable electricity for education.
12. Reforestation and green initiatives: In water-scarce zones, we have undertaken projects to restore vegetation and promote sustainable agricultural practices. These initiatives are complemented by employee engagement programs that encourage staff to actively participate in the company’s green efforts.
13. Leadership insights — a clear roadmap for the future: The Bharat Mobility Global Expo provided a platform for our senior leaders to articulate their vision for the future of mobility. Christophe Cazabeau, President of the Performance Materials Division, emphasized that sustainability must go beyond compliance. "Our goal is to enable customers to achieve their sustainability ambitions through advanced materials that are not only high-performing but also environmentally conscious," he stated.
Meanwhile, Milan Vignjevic, APAC Regional Commercial Director, pointed out the rapid transformations taking place in the Asia-Pacific market, driven by stricter regulations and evolving consumer preferences. He stressed Envalior’s proactive approach in helping manufacturers stay ahead of these changes, ensuring that sustainability is built into products from the ground up.
By combining cutting-edge innovation with a deep commitment to social and environmental responsibility, we are paving the way for a cleaner, greener future. Whether through advanced battery solutions, sustainable plastics, or hydrogen fuel technology, we are shaping the next chapter of mobility—one that prioritizes both people and the planet.
