São Paulo, Brazil, MARCH 18, 2025 – Envalior, a global leader in high-performance engineering materials, is highlighting its sustainable and innovative material solutions at the Plástico Brasil 2025 show, booth #C160, taking place March 24-28, 2025, at the São Paulo Expo.

The company will highlight key material solutions addressing major industry trends, including hydrogen storage, electric vehicle battery housings, lightweighting in automotive applications, sustainable kitchenware, and engineering materials for medical devices.

As industries worldwide push for safer, smaller, smarter, and more sustainable products, Envalior is empowering manufacturers to meet these demands with cutting-edge materials, setting new benchmarks for performance, sustainability, and innovation.

With a local compounding plant located at Porto Feliz, São Paulo, certified to ISCC-Plus, Envalior is helping manufacturers meet evolving demands for safer, more sustainable solutions. The company’s diverse portfolio of materials is enabling companies to create products that achieve exceptional levels of performance, sustainability, and innovation.

“Manufacturers today are under pressure to not only meet performance benchmarks but to also address environmental and sustainability concerns,” said Jose Chirino, Envalior Americas Technical Director. “Our portfolio is designed to help them succeed in developing sustainable solutions that stand out in a competitive global market.”

Key engineering materials solutions showcased at the booth will include:

  • EcoPaXX® for a Lower Carbon Footprint
A safe and sustainable engineering plastic derived from castor plants, EcoPaXX® is approximately 70% bio-based, offering manufacturers an eco-friendly alternative with exceptional performance.
  • TEPEX® for Lightweighting
A highly resilient composite material, TEPEX® delivers exceptional strength and rigidity with extremely low weight, making it ideal for applications demanding lightweight durability.
  • DURETHAN® for Extreme Heat Resistance
This thermoplastic material offers superior chemical resistance and can withstand extreme heat, making it perfect for automotive under-the-hood components and flame-retardant electrical and electronic applications.
  • Stanyl® for Thinner, Smaller Parts
As the first high-temperature polyamide and the only aliphatic polyamide in its class, Stanyl® meets the performance requirements for designing thinner, smaller components without compromising durability.

Manufacturers attending the show will have the opportunity to explore real-world applications made from these innovative materials and discuss tailored solutions with Envalior’s experts.

Some of the applications highlighted at the Envalior booth will include:

Advanced Liners for Hydrogen Storage: Akulon® Fuel Lock and Durethan® (BC550Z DUSXBL) provide a superior, proven alternative to fluorinated HDPE for tank liners. These advanced materials deliver enhanced safety, reduced weight, and improved sustainability for pressurized hydrogen storage, meeting the demands of modern fuel solutions.

Revolutionary Battery Housings: To meet the evolving demands of new mobility, Envalior introduces the first fully functional high-voltage battery enclosure crafted entirely from engineered plastics. This cutting-edge solution combines Durethan® B24CMH2.0 + 45% LGF (PA6) with TEPEX® dynalite 102-RGUD600 thermoplastic composite sheet technology, delivering significant advantages over traditional metal designs. It offers reduced weight, lower production costs, and a smaller carbon footprint—redefining standards for lighter, stronger, and safer battery housing.

Metal Replacement for Automotive Components: Lightweighting in automotive applications enhances performance, lowers fuel emissions, and reduces costs. Envalior showcases several innovative solutions where metal has been replaced with advanced polyamide materials, such as TEPEX® and Stanyl®. Featured applications include a passenger headrest, a cylinder head cover, and an air suspension piston, demonstrating the potential for stronger, lighter, and more efficient automotive components.

Eco-Friendly Kitchenware: EcoPaXX® bio-based materials provide a sustainable alternative for kitchen utensils, reducing the CO₂ footprint without compromising on performance or aesthetics. These innovative materials combine environmental responsibility with the durability and design consumers expect.

Advanced Material Solutions for the Medical Industry: Envalior’s portfolio of medical engineering materials are designed to meet the stringent needs of medical device manufacturers and healthcare professionals. Arnitel® Care TPC leverages breathable monolithic film technology optimized to balance comfort while providing best-in-class barrier protection from viruses, bacteria and other contaminants. This material is being used in applications such as medical gowns, catheters, inhaler valves, wound care, and medical packaging.
