Manufacturing automotive bearing cages optimized for EVs

As vehicle electrification accelerates, so are the requirements for vehicle bearing cages. Since electric motors operate at higher speeds, higher torque and elevated temperatures, materials such as PA66 may not meet the requirements. At the same time, metal or PEEK solutions could add significant costs.

CRB Cap is a press fitted cap on the clutch release bearing. The cap comes in contact with the diaphragm spring of the clutch when the clutch is pressed for disengaging the transmission with the engine. This cap isolates metal to metal contact of CRB flange and diaphragm spring fingers.
