Thermoplast polyurethaan (TPU) wordt veel gebruikt om deze films te vervaardigen. Maar naast de duurzaamheid nadelen is het verbeteren van de prestaties van de vochtdamptransmissiesnelheid (MVTR) van dit materiaal tijd- en kostenintensief. Arnitel Care TPC biedt MVTR-prestaties tot 45.000 g/m2 per dag in films van 15 μm. Trek- modulus tests waarbij de materiaal wordt vergeleken met de TPU die in commerciële verbanden wordt gebruikt, blijkt dat Arnitel films 50% dunner kunnen worden gemaakt. Dit verbetert zowel MVTR als hoe goed verbanden zich aanpassen aan carrosserie vorm, zonder afbreuk te doen aan de bescherming tegen ziekteverwekkers. Arnitel Care TPC maakt het mogelijk om films van 10 μm te produceren met een snelheid van 300 m/min - een aanzienlijke productiviteitsverhoging ten opzichte van TPU-concurrenten - wat leidt tot bedrijfs- en materiaal kostenbesparingen.
