Martin Hallam

Martin Hallam joined the chemical industry in 1986 as a chemical engineer at Imperial Chemical Industries. He has since held a variety of technical and leadership roles within operations, which have been at executive level for the past 18 years. In addition to ICI he has worked at Ineos, PQ Corporation, and Growhow UK, a joint venture between Yara and CF Industries.

In 2015 Martin joined Synthomer, where he was President of SHE and Operations until 2021,
Martin’s passion for safety, health and environment is driven by his fundamental belief that, “We always have time to work safely”.

He also brings significant expertise in the areas of manufacturing excellence leadership, program management and integration.
